Carpet per room: what should you consider?

Bedroom
The bedroom is all about comfort. High-pile or soft-textured carpet creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Carpet helps reduce echo and makes video calls more pleasant. For this room, preferably choose low-pile or a dense structure so that office chairs can roll easily.

Living Room

Stairs
Carpet on the stairs is safe and quiet. Here, installation and finishing are extra important: think of risers, nosings, and secure fixation.

Maintenance and service life

Proper maintenance significantly extends the life of carpet. Regular vacuuming is essential, especially with pets. Stains are best removed as quickly as possible with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent.

Depending on the quality and use, carpet lasts an average of 8 to 15 years. In areas with intensive use, it is advisable to choose a higher wear class.

How much does carpet cost?

In addition to the price per square meter, you should also consider the underlay, cutting waste, and any installation costs. This means the final price per room can vary.

Carpet and underfloor heating

Carpet can be perfectly combined with underfloor heating, provided you choose the right thermal resistance. Modern carpets are specially developed to allow heat to pass through well and at the same time provide extra comfort.

When purchasing, always pay attention to the TOG value: the lower it is, the better the carpet allows heat to pass through.
