What is a PVC floor?

The Belakos Dryback PVC floor

The dryback floors, which are offered by Belakos, have a total thickness of only 2.5 mm. This thin, but super strong floor has a few specific properties. For example, the PVC strips are heat permeable and the floor is perfectly applicable over underfloor heating. Due to the water resistance of the boards, the floor is easy to keep clean and install in any part of the house, even in rooms where the floor can get wet regularly, such as the bathroom. Compared to laminate, the PVC floor is a lot less hard. Sound is absorbed by this, which ensures fine acoustics in the room. Skirting boards are unnecessary because you can lay the floor tightly against the wall. Of course you can place it if you like it better or like to add the skirting boards as extra protection of the walls. Especially to finish the floor nicely, floor piping is available. Choose the floor piping from Belakos, so you don't get a color difference. This piping ensures a neat finish of, for example, the Belakos herringbone floor. The piping can be combined with all Belakos floors.

A Rigid Click PVC floor

The Rigid Click floors from Belakos are quick and easy to install. Thanks to the smart Uniclic system or 5GI Click system, which they are equipped with, installing the floor becomes child's play. Without the use of glue, the floor is quickly installed. Even on an existing floor. Because this floor has an integrated subfloor, it can even be laid over the old floor with small unevenness. For larger irregularities, we do recommend using a subfloor. One of the great advantages of the floor is that it can be removed quickly and easily when you move, for example. Laying the Belakos floor

As with everything, good preparation is half the battle. This also applies to the installation of the Belakos floors. The dryback floors of Belakos have a double fiberglass layer. As a result, they hardly shrink and almost do not expand. However, the humidity in the house is different than in our warehouse. It is therefore wise, before you install, to let the floor acclimatize to your room temperature for 48 hours. It is also wise to take a good look at the subfloor. Is it even enough? For example, a wooden support floor can work and is not suitable as a substrate for the PVC floors. The best is a flat cement floor. The dryback floor is glued and therefore needs a flat surface.
